Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in the United States and is an American photographer and journalist. Over the past forty-five years she has focused on documenting human suffering, especially in natural disasters and wars. Curry covered wars in Kosovo, Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry was an American journalist, reporter for the TV news as well as host. She is most known as a correspondent for the Today program a morning broadcast news program aired on NBC. Curry was renowned for her work on reporting human rights issues in war-stricken countries and on natural catastrophes. Curry's maternal grandmother is Japanese as is her father, who was another American Naval Sailor. Her father was with the mother of her in Japan as a stationed there following World War II. As a result of her father's active military service the family moved frequently. Curry graduated from high school at Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her an undergraduate degree in journalism. In her youth she was exposed many kinds of cultures. After four years she moved into Los Angeles and became a reporter at KCBS TV. During her six-year association with the station she received 2 Emmy Awards.
